Is it possible to use the normal CD Rom MOUNT command (using directories instead of images) for games with multiple CDs and switch with CTRL+F4, or is the image way required?
Well, it doesn't seem to work, at least not at command prompt. Haven't tried with an actual game.
what have you got against IMGMOUNT?
Mounting the folder will treat the folder as a CD. You'll then have a CD of images that your DOS game won't know how to make use of.
If you just want to avoid the additional typing, use the [autoexec] section of dosbox-0.73.conf.txt.
