Hello,

I am running DosBox 0.73 inside Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.

My problem is that I cannot record gameplay using the CTRL + ALT + F5 key combination. All that happens is that that the screen goes kind of fuzzy with different horizontal lines and then a blank black screen with no sound. I have to use CTRL + ALT + F8 to get my game back.

Is this a bug or is there a fix for it? The google search I did turned up fruitless so I'm stuck on this one.

not a bug.
ubuntu simply does something else if you presst ctrl-alt-f5

start dosbox using the -startmapper parameter and change the shortcut used to record gameplay

How to ask questions the smart way!

I did that and the video is set using the left ctrl - left alt - f5 keys. I was able to get a screenshot of the game though using CTRL - F5 but still no video recording.

I have run DosBox through the terminal to check to see if there are errors but there aren't any.

Re-read what Qbix asked you to do.

Alright, I've changed the key combination to left ctrl + left alt + v now. I recorded a session of Rise of the Triad that I played earlier and it recorded very well.

Thank you to everyone that posted here.
