Hi - I admire how well this program works. I am using it with QuickBasic 4.5 (which is or was as good as Fortran, at least for calculations).
In this context I tried to make a .bat thing using "copy con x.bat" - possible under eg MSDOS. That didn't work. Did I do something the wrong way? Ok- anyway, I used an editor and I got my batch. Anybody any ideas about 'copy con' ?

Didn't think anyone used "copy con" anymore. There are plenty of editors, including the QuickBASIC IDE. I use the DOS version of Vim - a bit slow to start up, but it's still Vim 😀

I still use copy con on a very regular basis when I just need to make a 1-3 line batch file from a command prompt.

Copy con: The only text entry method crazier than edlin.

Davros:

or you could run edit.exe from dos in dosbox

That's what I meant, forgot about that. EDIT was based on QBASIC, wasn't it? Or was that HELP?
