I'm a fierce Newbie, and am having trouble getting Dosbox to operate fullscreen. Any help?

I suggest you reread the readme

=============
Special Keys:
=============

ALT-ENTER Go full screen and back.
CTRL-F5 Save a screenshot.
CTRL-F6 Start/Stop recording sound output to a wave file.
CTRL-F7 Decrease frameskip.
CTRL-F8 Increase frameskip.
CTRL-F9 Kill dosbox.
CTRL-F10 Capture/Release the mouse.
CTRL-F11 Slow down emulation (Decrease DOSBox Cycles).
CTRL-F12 Speed up emulation (Increase DOSox Cycles).

NOTE: Once you increase your DOSBox cycles beyond your computer's maximum
capacity, it will produce the same effect as slowing down the emulation.
This maximum will vary from computer to computer, there is no standard.

Just additional information :

I just realize that when I first turn on my computer it will show the Win2k logo on the monitor but it is not full screen either, but it is the same size when using DOSBOX when the z> appears. Is it related ?

The box remains the same size when the game starts, with or without hitting Alt+enter.

If you're using a laptop, this can be a common problem. What will happen is that your laptop's lcd screen is only a certain resolution (Commonly 800x600 or 1024x768) Only programs running at the full resolution of the screen will take up the entire display. You can use the 'fullwidth' and 'fullheight' variables in your dosbox.conf to adjust this for DOS Box.
