Is there any chance to see DosBox (or equivalent) been run in browser in future? I would like to hear what sorts of issues would make it possible/impossible. Why would no-one ever want to make one or why there is not one yet. Is it too time-consuming?

From what I've understood, JavaScript code can be run pretty rapidly nowadays thanks to the new standards and faster browsers. Or is it not ready yet?

What are your thoughts?

No it can't. Don't get your hopes up for Javascript performance now, or in the future. "Fast Javascript" is always an oxymoronic red herring to promote browsers.
