DosBox does not actually emulate the monitor, just the video card.
A 1084 is essentially an old TV (I still have one hooked to my A500) so if you like how things look on old TV's (interlacing, brighter image, hopefully less pixelation) go ahead, but mind you this monitor isn't really "as multisync" as modern progressive scan CRT's, meaning you'll probably be stuck with mostly standard PAL/NTSC modes (not good for DOS applications/games) and that provided the converter does an acceptable job, which they normally don't, even with straight vga-to-rgb solderings.
In my humble opinion, totally not worth it, but still much more desirable (if done right) than some piece of crap LCD 😀
ok but with dosbox there is option crt emulation!
Guess we must be using different versions.
