Hey,

I've dosbox 0.74 running on a Windows 7, 64 Bit netbook. The windowed version works perfectly fine...although if I try to switch to fullscreen, dosbox freezes: the screen is rendered perfectly, but the running application/dos prompt is freezed. When I switch to window-mode, all is fine again.

Anybody can help here?

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD

I remember having this once on my Acer netbook. But I don't remember what I did to resolve the issue.

Is it a first generation netbook with GMA 945 graphics?

Also, look for updated graphics card drivers on the Acer website. If you didn't update the drivers yourself, chances are you're using either the default Windows 7 driver which only supports minimal functionality, or an outdated version. If you want to use ddraw output (or direct3d when using a custom DOSBox build which supports this method) you should also run the latest DirectX 9 installer available from Microsofts website *.

* Some people say this is necessary, some say it isn't because the DirectX version included in Windows 7 is backwards compatible. I've had actual cases though where games or emulators wouldn't run properly or at all without installing the DX9 components. In any case, running the installer won't harm your system in any way.

You can search directly on Intel website (just make note of the exact name of your integrated card). Or use an application like drivermax, to keep your drivers updated. note: Had really BAD experiences with intel video cards, always a lot of problems and incompatibilities...
