Hey! I've recently migrated over to Windows 7 and naturally gotten Dosbox installed as well.

When I tried installing the video codec via the start-menu shortcut I got an error message. Seems like the target folder C:\Windows\inf doesn't exist, and that is as far as it'll go.

Is there a way to do this manually? I'm not really knowledgeable enough to figure it out.

Thanks for any help.

You need to right-click the shortcut and "Run as Administrator"

Thanks for the quick reply! That solved it. 😀

It's amazing how many issues that resolved, also note the UAC that both Vista and Windows 7 have configured by default, prompting the user to run this or that application.

I've seen issues with installs if you don't run as the admin first.
