I've got a corsair USB headset, and a Creative SB X-FI sound card, and theres no sound in the elder scrolls: arena. the sound configuration is in the "install game.exe". does that mean i have to set the sound before i install it?

I'm not sure how to set the sound up in dosbox or if there is any sound in dosbox to configure.

No no you can't configure the sound before you've installed the game ^^...
To get sound, you have to configure the sound settings.
I don't know if it's the install.exe or if there is a setup.exe like in Doom or similiar. When you found the sound settings check the irq, dma and the port. The right settings are in your dosbox configuration.
