I would like to be able to have a batch file that will run a particular program when I start DosBox. Is that possible? Please address you responses to a newbe without much technical skill.

Thank you very much,

Michael

Thank you. I cannot access the file in Windows 7. I can see the relevant folder: dosbox-0.74.conf, but I cannot access the file. I know how to format the commands I need to mount the drives and to start the program I need when I put them in manually. How can I get them into the authoexec.

Any help will be appreciated.

There should be a link in the start menu under the DosBox folder that reads "Options" inside that sub-folder there should be a link that reads: "DosBox 0.74 Options" that will allow you to edit the file. Otherwise, the file is located at
"C:\Users\<youruser>\AppData\Local\DOSBox\dosbox-0.74.conf"
