I haven't had much time to try and trouble shoot this but I thought I'd throw up a question to see if something jumps out at anyone right away.

Just recently I've noticed that moving my mouse around in a game slows down the midi playback through my USB midiman. I've had this set up for years and this has never happened before but I have recently reinstalled my system.

I know there is a lot to investigate here and I haven't begun but I wanted to see if this rings a bell for anyone right off the bat.

Im running an i7 920, with the midiman midispot 2x2 anniversary edition usb interface with the latest standard build Dosbox.

The only thing that changed recently, and honestly this is probably the reason, is that my razer mouse stopped working and I switched to a Microsoft mouse I had lying around. It's one of those with the blue lasers.

So anyone got any ideas?

A little more info.

I spent some time working through a few theories and none of them pay off but I do have additional information.

It has nothing to do with the midiman, even if I run emulated soundblaster sound it's still effected getting choppy and cutting out.

Also I switched mice and I still have this problem.

When I run Dosbox on by Core2duo it doesn't have these problems.

I'm running under Windows 8 but I have tried every compat mode and it doesnt change anything.

Hey I figured it out! Sorry there was no way anyone could have helped me with the information I had given.

Apparently Dosbox has a problem with EVGA's precision X software. I had it set to target 60 FPS and that's what was causing the problem.

So well if anyone has this weird issue in the future i hope this helps, 🤣.
