I'm running 0.74 under Windows 7. It doesn't like to go to Full Screen mode. That's alright, I'd rather not swap video modes since I keep switching back and forth between it an other things. So Window mode is good, where I want things. Problem is... I've got a resolution on my desktop of 1280 x 1024, so the windowed screen is TINY! I can't see who I'm killing! Is there a way to make the windowed version bigger so I can see better?

Hey, this is a new person here. I also have a pretty small window with Dosbox. I got into using this a while back with the SSI Gold Box games. I want to make my window 800x600 or bigger. But there is no thing that I see in the manual that says "hey, here is how to make a big window!!!!" So please help me out.

From the DosBox .conf file:
"# windowresolution: Scale the window to this size IF the output device supports hardware scaling.
# (output=surface does not!)"

Funny! It even says to *read* the .conf file in my post above, which you, clearly, didn't read, either.

OK scratch that. I found the file (somehow) I had to do a windows search. Now, how do I set the system to have 800x600 or some other possible resolution. (Not sure what the possibilities are.) Thanks for taking the time to help me.

I don't know if this is relevant to other computers. Apparently my computer does not seem to like the 800x600 command in the dosbox configuration. However, it will do full screen if I set it to do full screen. I have no idea why it won't load a 800 window.... unless of course the default is 800. I think I am getting a 640x480 window, but I guess I could be getting an 800x600 window without knowing it. I don't like the full screen too much.

It all depends on the numbers you set, so if you write 800x600 you should get 800x600...of course if your fullscreen resolution is high...it will still look tiny, 800x600 was used as an example. 1024x768 and such should also work (but you have to put the numbers in yourself, otherwise, you get the resolution from the game...depending on the game, for example 320x200 and such).
