So I am currently (trying) to play covert action on dosbox, but unfortunately, the game uses the numpad to control direction . As I am using a laptop with no numpad (macbook), this is a problem. So, I map my WASD keys to the numbers to resolve the issue, (w=8, A=4, d=6, s=2) and when I look in the keymapper it says EVENT w BIND 8 and so on. When I press the keys, however, nothing happens. I tried rebinding to another letter key, and still the key did not cause any output. I tried rebinding back, still nothing. I'm doing something wrong, I just don't know what or how to fix it. Thanks for any help, and sorry for wasting you time if this is a total idiot question.

Hey,

It looks like you should reverse the roles of the keys. "EVENT" stands for the emulated key (as seen by DOS games), while "BIND" refers to what's actually used on the host side.

For instance, you want to have "BIND:Key w" for "EVENT:key_kp_8".
