I was just wondering if there had been any news on this subject?
A Google search for "Mouse" and "Sensitivity" here in the forums ( http://www.google.com/search?q=%22mouse%22+%2 … Fwww.vogons.org ) results in a BUNCH of messages refering to this problem.
Basically (as mentioned in a lot of those message threads in the Google results), the left and right mouse axis of many games (especially ones running in low resoultion modes such as 320x200 or 320x400) seems to be about half of the up and down axis. This is in fullscreen mode, and when ALT+ENTERing to windowed mode the sensitivity of both axis feels the same.
I've noticed this in all of the Build engine games, the WAD based games (DOOM/DOOM2/Heretic/hexen/etc...), as well as Duke Nukem 3D (and even Terra Nova). Although, in Duke Nukem 3D you can adjust the mouse axis "scale" independently (via the "SETUP.EXE" utility), as a round-about way to overcome this problem.
One of the message threads in the Google results is even one of my own threads from quite some time ago (2 pages worth), but seemingly the only solution was a round-about method that had some drawbacks to it.
Another of the message threads in the Google search even mentions modifying the source code for the mouse for DOSBox ( Strange mouse behavior ), that supposedly fixed this problem.
Anyhow, I was simply a-wondering if there had been any news about this... maybe a fix in a future version of DOSBox using the above-mentioned modification to the mouse source in DOSBox?
