It is on.
I'm assuming you tried to play a game which didn't respond to the numeric keys.
It's actually depends on each game how it uses the numpad.
If this isn't what you meant. Please be a bit more specific.
You cannot turn it on, numlock is always off in dosbox.
If you want to use numbers they are in a row above the letters.
I was wondering whether it would be possible to make "numlock=on,off" setting in dosbox.conf?
MabusRaeen: I am using a program, in which I am entering some numerical data from keyboard. In DOS and Win98 it works properly.
Robertmo: I know, that numbers above the alphabetic part of keyboard are working. I am frequently entering many numerical values. Using of the mumerical part of the keyboard is more quick. I hope too, it will be possible to set "numlock=on, off" in some of following versions.
Thanks to all,

hold down the shift key and you CAN use the nummeric keypad

Of course it's possible, but would you really want to? Why not just use the numlock key as it's supposed to be used? I still can't get DOSbox to compile under VC6, otherwise I'd start contributing some day soon...

cos i believe he is out of ideas... there are a few good classics and programs which require massice use of keypad... using the number keys above the alphas is a feat.
