Is such a thing possible?

I want to record gameplay videos using Shadowplay, but it's impossible when DOSBox is in fullscreen, so I run it in a window and use Shadowplay's desktop capture. Since most games are in 4:3, I can still see the sides of my desktop, which isn't a big deal, but is a bit distracting. In short: want to add black bars on the sides while maintaining aspect ratio.

Just crop it in your video editor.

Or use hardware capture in full-screen mode.

I know the basics of Adobe Premiere, so I can crop the video no problem. That's not the point.

Shadowplay can't capture DOSBox in fullscreen, AFAIK. Also I don't even WANT to run it in fullscreen.

That's what I'm saying. Play and capture in Window mode, then crop it?
