Just so we're clear; i am a noob at DOS coding and what not.
I am trying to install 3DFX onto DOSBox so i can run GTA 1 in 3DFX mode, but i've tried every way possible and i always end up failing with the "unable to find DLL" error. No luck trying to find my problem or anything else on google.
I need help installing 3DFX onto DOS, in the most simple and easiest way possible.

Um, this is a DOSBox question and belongs in a different subforum. And you don't have to bump your thread after only five hours 😀
But sorry, I can't help you with your question except to say that real hardware would be better, which is not helpful at all 🤣

Although it would be much more helpful if you posted your system specs, what version of DOSBox you're using, the specific DLL error you're getting, etc. Vague questions like your OP don't attract much help.

You have to install a glide wrapper (nglide for example).

Remove all glide*.dll files from dosbox directory.

In dosbox there should be a glide2x.ovl und glide2x_emu.ovl

copy one of them to your game directory (depends of what you have set in dosbox.conf emu or not) and maybe rename it to glide2x.ovl.

Where do you get old versions of DOSBox Daum, anyway? There seems to be general consensus that the latest builds are broken (though I'm not exactly clear how or why).

Or you could download my 3Dfx build, it is built using kekkos 3Dfx patch and outputs the image with opengl and doesn't need a wrapper. The link is down in the signature.

Then you are best off looking at something else other than DOSBox.

Dosbox and pcem are the only Programms with 3dfx support.
PcEm is a lot slower than Dosbox.
So i hope for a Branch for win9x, 3dfx, and network.

Either we have forgotten about the OP, or he has forgotten about us 🤣

He only did try and he needed another thing. Enough said.
