Anyone gotten multiple DosBoxes working for split screen? I've had so much trouble with source ports and incompatibilities that I'm hoping to be able to run DosBox on all the machines. Though, some have large screens that could easily accommodate two or more game screens.

Assigning and managing controls appears to be the biggest hiccup. Any ideas?

But you would also have to have 2 active windows at the same time (2 instances of DOSBox). Can't be done, at least not in Windows. Some Linux window managers might support something like that...

^Exactly. Seems like that's a feature that should have been added to Windows a long time ago, could be useful for a lot of things. But yeah, the only thing I can think of is if some Linux system out there supports it. Maybe some iteration of X Window Manager?

Well, in theory, the DOSBox window doesn't have to be active to respond to serial port input, right? But trying to get a DOS program to respond to any kind of serial input when it hasn't already been written to do so is probably way too much of a headache.
