key issue...

Hi there!
Im using
WinXP on a notebook
now a got a very DUMB still persistent problem....
for mounting a drive i have to type in something like:
MOUNT c:\games
the problem is i cant get to work the backslash 🙁
dont laugh!!
of course the backslah works in the usual windows cmd Window...
so can any PLZZZZZ tell me which key combination i should press??
i think i checked already all with caps and with alt, ctrl and alt gr

i got a german notebook /keyboard mybe ( i hope not..) thats the problem
so what do i have to press
plz dont tell me the "ß" + alt gr that dosen´t work 🙁
would be nice if someone know about this DAMN key issue..

i think its a weird key scheme issue but i dont know how to solve it 🙁(
because inside dosbox theres a strange mix between US and GER key scheme...

indeeed your right!
However i would like to make 2 suggestions:
1.Make an Outline for the readme other wise lazy user like me would not scroll dont to the very end to discover a FAQ 😮 (just kidding but imo an outline would be good for overview)
2. i tried to change the keyboard layout didn´t work !
for me this worked:
first i had to press the " ^ °" key and then the "<> |" key in order to obtain my --> \ <--
may be you want to add this into your german readme 😁

arg double port through timeout.. soory ,
i REALLY SHOULD have read the readme because
"MOUNT c:/games"
does also work
but my combination with : the "^°"+ "<> |" keys also 😀

well the basic tip is acutally to use / instead of \

But an outline is a good idea.

yeah just tried the basic tip as you suggested ^^
now i´m almost done here and so i want to put some other words:
I want to thank you the authors of DosBox SOO MUCH!
I just tired Dune 2, and after 10 years it realy worked out again that i heard the units respond in speech!
Years ago i used to play the game with a friend on his PC and i think it was because of his sounds HW that the units did respond because later on my PC and every time i tried it on newer ones there were no vocies.
But just now ( after solving the "\" issue ^^°)
i started the game and there WERE Voiced indeed ( i think because of the great sound emulation options of Dosbox 😁 )
I´m just really happy , and want to thank you authors who for sure put in a lot of hard work into this.
