DOSBox X Quake music problem

I'm having an issue with DOSBox X where the Quake music doesn't sound right compared to standard DOSBox 0.74.

Both versions have the exact same sound settings and Quake is being run via QDOS on both to allow music playback of OGG files since the machine I'm currently using doesn't have an optical drive for my CD.

Here's an example of the first couple seconds of the opening demo for comparison:

DOSBox 0.74:

Anyone know why this is occuring?

I've already gone through every setting I can think of to try and solve the issue with no luck.

Indeed, wouldn't it be more appropriate to ask this question in the DOSBox-X forum if the bug is not present in standard DOSBox?

If so, No, I don't have the time to comb through 109 pages to see if it's already been posted but feel free to merge this thread to that one if it makes such a big difference.

I remember seeing a issue concerning offical dosbox vs a fork of which I'm fairly certain it was dosbox-x recently on github but it appears to have vanished.
