the Windows 98 have it's own MS-DOS, even MS-DOS mode...
can i choose DosBox instead MS-DOS Mode?

There are versions of DOSbox that can be run on Windows 98, yes. Note however that it entirely emulates the CPU so you'll get a 10th of your system CPU speed.

No, it runs within windows or linux, it's not a standalone operating system replacement.
