It is not pixel-perfect because your output is ddraw. For pixel-perfect display use surfacepp.
Yes, you're right. I thought it was pixel perfect until now, when I tested it with output=surfacepp. There's a noticeable difference.
(...) just try it with surface output and without aspect-ratio correction.
Just tested with aspect=false, but the game output becomes distorted, since its original resolution is 320x200, which the game stretched to 640x480 in a real PC.
It may be a dumb question, but, why doesn't the game stretch its resolution to 640x480 when it runs inside DOSBox?
Regarding my original question, with fullresolution=desktop (be it output=surfacepp or output=ddraw), the game output is brighter than normal.
I manage to get the correct brightness with fullresolution=640x480 and output=ddraw, which is the configuration I've been using for a long time.
But I would like to change it, from now on, to fullresolution=desktop and output=surfacepp.... but with correct brightness if possible.
Is there a way to tweak the brightness using a command line inside DOSBox-ECE? Or it's only possible by modifying the source code?
Of course, I am correcting the brightness using the monitor's brightness control, but a way to tweak it inside DOSBox-ECE would be better, imho.
Thank you!
