While playing Doom, sometimes when I pick up an item or get hit, some of the shading on the screen doesn't go away and stays there unless I get out of fullscreen mode.

Which type of output should I set it to?
Try all of them but one at a time. Overlay and ddraw seem to go along well for Ati cards. OpenGL can also work but maybe is better suited for nVidia cards. OpenGLnb is the same as OpenGL but less blurrier (without the bilinear filter).
