Hi I'm new here and new to the program, and I've tried the tutorial but I cannot run 2 games: Worms United and Cricket '96.

For Worms, I can get it to install and everything (just by using Windows), and I can get it to the point where you type WORMS.BAT in dosbox to run the game (won't run using windows) and it comes up with the preparing to run etc. press S to skip intro and quickload or whatever, so nothing happens and when I press anything nothing happens so I press S and just get a black console screen.

As for Cricket I can't get it to install. My HDD is C: and my CD drive is D:. The INSTALL.EXE is in the folder D:\CRICKET\. Please explain how I can use dosbox to install this game because when the games starts to install just by using windows, after you type in the drive and all it just quits.

Here's PC details:
Windows XP Service Pack 2
1.50GHz processer
1GB of RAM.

If there is anymore information needed please tell me.

Thanks.

for worms. mount your cdrom as cdrom as well (mount d d:\ -t cdrom)
and maybe install the game from within dosbox as well

Read the 60 Seconds Guide to DOSBox.

To start the Cricket installer, switch to the CD-ROM, navigate down to D:\CRICKET and start the INSTALL'er:

Z:\>D:
D:\>cd \CRICKET
D:\>dir /w
D:\>INSTALL.EXE

If that doesn't help, come back with details on how you mounted your C and D drives, how you did the install, how you configured sound, music etc.

What I do for cricket is type:
MOUNT D D:\ -t cdrom (D: is my cd drive)
D:
cd \CRICKET
dir /w
INSTALL.EXE

It successfully launches the Installation.
First step tells me to enter my CD drive letter, so I do D.
Next it says inimum or [C]omplete Install, so I type C.
Then it asks me what directory I want to Install it to, so I type C:\OLDGAMES\CRICKET and press enter. It then says 'Invalid drive!, or no space available. Press any key.

I do have lots of drive space.

Yeah but you didn't mount a harddisk.
Create a C:\OLDGAMES on your real harddisk, and additionally mount that like
mount c c:\oldgames
