Hello people. I have a problem with 'The Settlers I'. I want to play the game in multiplayer modus that mean that I want to play with two Mouse. Now the Problem, if I start the game I can use the two Mouse, but just in the same Screen. I want to use the user Mouse in the user Screen. The Multiplayergame are only by splitscreen.

To give you a short summary: First get a serial mouse, then learn about direct serial.

I remember trying to get this to work on my old P166. I had a serial mouse and a PS2 mouse but I never got it to work - I'm not even going to try with Dosbox 🤣

I have configurate the serial port, in DOSBox I can see that he have found the mouse, but it didn't work. Have I take by the configuration a mistake ?

serial1=directserial realport:com2 startbps:9600 parity:n bytesize:8 stopbits:1 irq:4

Better try
serial1=directserial realport:COM1 irq:3

Additionally it is very important to configure settler accordingly. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Start DosBox, make sure directserial works.
2. Start Settlers
3. Change game mode to splitscreen mode
Now the important part:
4. Go to the options menu
5. Choose "Rechte Seite" which means right splitscreen
6. Select Microsoft Mouse, COM1, irq 3
7. Save and leave the options menu
8. Start game
9. Have fun!

Juhuu es funktioniert. Ich danke dir. Naja ein kleines Manko gibt es noch und zwar das die Maus ein wenig langsamer ist. Aber egal es funktioniert aber
