On PC with XP pro it works fine but on one with Vista Home Premium it loads menu but in backgeoun Box it states "out of memory" and hard freezes the PC, have to turn off power and rebboot. What does it mean out of memory as my wife has 2gig ram and 512mb on video card, 203gig free on HDD.

I think you have a serious problem with your Vista Box. Freezes and reboots as described should not be caused by DosBox. Maybe do some memory testing with a tool like memtestx86 and get newest drivers.

This is a dual boot system, I'm sorry I reread my post and see that I wrote that it was 2 PC's. I ram memtest for 2 hours and it showed no errors (PC 800 DDR2 6400). I've never had any problems like this before.

dosbox is a regular application so if your system crashes if you use it,
you should really do some in-depth testing of the hardware and drivers.
