Hiya,
I recently managed to get hold of a copy of Time Commando an old fav of mine, anyway I used dosbox and managed to install it to the default directory C:\TIMECO, it then says "Type TIMECO to play" so i type it and It thinks about it then says "Cannot find the Time Commando CD" when it is clearly in my cd drive.
If anyone has and advice it would be much appreciated,
Thanks

Hi,

I had the same problem with Little Big adventure ; apparently, LBA checks the cdrom's label.
So try mounting your cdrom drive with
mount e e:\ -t cdrom -label <drivelabel>

,put the label of your Time Commando cdrom here.

greetings

Oh boy. This usually means that the game is doing something which isn't supported yet.
You could try to disable dpmi

Look in the configfile for the line
dpmi=true
change it into
dpmi=false

May that helps

that game is definetly using stuff that isn't present in 0.60 yet.
Maybe better luck in the next version.

Time Commando would be SLOW. For a DOS game it's relatively new. Maybe it'll be possible to run it in the future.

I mean i can get it to run in windows XP but as soon as i press any keys on the keyboard it immediatly presents an error msg im guessing its because its suppose to run in DOS or 95

Woooo I managed! LBA is my all time favorite game, along with LBA2.

You must have "dpmi=true" in the config file. Then follow these scerenshots 😀

3 simple steps: [ 1 2 3 ]

And..... Viola!

If you choose a sound card from setup, the game crashes. So you will only play it with CD music on DOSBox for now. But it's, like, running smooth and fast! THANK YOU DOSBOX! 😁

OK, maybe I'm just really stupid, but how is LBA and Time Commando related? (LBA being Little Big Adventure, yea?)

Yes, it’s my fault.

I tried that... But it still won't work T_T No matter what I try I get a "No CD" message right after the Adeline-screen.

I've been trying to get that damn thing working for ages now, but I haven't got a comp old enough to do it - which is why I rejoiced when I found someone mentioning DOS box.

Beta means that there may still be bugs - in my experience. I'm playing the game now, though... No keeping me away from it if there's a chance it might be working.

I'll check that forum out, too.

This is a very late beta, almost no bugs.
