I've recently backed up my copy of Civilization and it ran into three sector errors near the end of the disk (hoped it didn't include any data). Did a CRC check between it and a scene release from back in 1991 and everything matched up except CIV.EXE, ICONPGD.PIC, ICONPGE.PIC, ICONPGT2.PIC. Then did a quick google search and found the scene release cracked the .EXE and that mine matched up with retail, but I'm stumped on the last three files.

ICONPGD.PIC - AB12692C - 11/12/1991 4:19:00 PM
ICONPGE.PIC - 2577DF0B - 11/12/1991 4:20:38 PM
ICONPGT2.PIC - EABAEEF7 - 11/26/1991 5:42:44 PM

Does anyone have access to a copy that they could confirm these for me? Thank you

Sorry, the sites I looked up called it .01, but I should have been more specific. It is 474.01.

Can't check at the moment, but it may just be that the cracked release modified some of the image files to indicate the cracker group or indicate some other details of the crack.

Small update. I've done several more rips from the original media and it appears the bad sectors are in fact these three files.
I've managed to get two duplicate images, however, and I've matched up ICONPGE.PIC with the scene release. ICONPGD.PIC and ICONPGT2.PIC are still the same CRC values I posted earlier and I've had multiple matches between three to four images with these files.

Now here's the anomaly that is worrying me. The files that Joey_sw linked from 474.04 all match up with the scene release minus the date modified. I still really want to compare against a non-rotted 474.01 before I lose all hope though.

Okay, last update.
I did some compares on my images and chose the best one as a base. I then did some hex compares on it against the other images and then against the files from the scene release and I ended up with three alterations I ended up making which matched up with the number of bad sectors. All files now verify against the scene release.

Now I'm just wondering, would this still be considered a 1:1 image? The structure should have been kept intact.

minus the date modified

I assume the date mismatch due those files are transfered mulitple times, back-and-forth from local date filesystem (FAT16, FAT32) to/from UTC filesystem (NTFS).
So the file's timestamps are shifted severval times.

That game among few games from my older computer that managed to be transfered into my recent computer.
