I used to have a DOS game called EMPIRE. It was player against computer. I deleted it at one point, but would like to get a copy again. I think it might have been included on the intro software disks from my first ISP. I do not know if it was commercial or not. It is not any of the versions on Walter Bright's Empire Wagepage, though it has close similarities.

It was text-based. It had ten levels of computer play. The map was 60 (I think) by 100. Units were Army, Transport, Destroyer, Submarine, Cruiser, Battleship, F____ (flew but I forget the name), and one other.

Does anyone know where I can get this game from? (Then, I can worry about whether DOSBox will run it.)

Nope. The link says the game is based on Risk. The Empire that I am thinking of did not have the regions that Risk has. It was 60X100 with "+" used for land and "." for water.
