Are you actually using the DosBox program from http://dosbox.sourceforge.net or you are running Warcraft 2 in Windows XP?

Are you using Windows 2000 or Windows XP?

The mouse cursor being confined to the upper left is a common problem and IIRC you have to modify the warcraft 2 config file to fix it. Can't remember the exact option at the moment but if you search the forums you should be able to find it.

Try using "MOUSE2KV 640 480 8 8 WAR2.EXE" and adjust the mouse speed in-game.

Hmmm....
I think there was a WC2 patch for mouse issues... did you get that?

Edit the ini file.

It has an entry about graphic mouse or something that's set to 0.
Set it to 1.

It worked for me..

BTW search is your friend...
theres all the info i need i think, found in the fourms, but idk what to do with i

Well, IIRC Mouse2kv is only needed if your are using Windows 2000

Since you are using Windows XP, then the .INI modification should work for you.

So search your Warcraft 2 directory for a Warcraft2.ini and change whatever mouse entry that is in there from 0 to 1.

Warcraft 2 wasn't written for DOS. I still play my WC2 Battlenet Edition on XP just fine.

Warcraft 2 was originally written for DOS. I remember playing it on my 486DX4-120 using VESA 640x480x256c (8 bit). I also remember it having MIDI music, which I'd like to hear on my SC-88 but probably never will...

"directory" means the same thing as "folder"
