Did you mount C: in dosbox? ( mount c: <path> )
eg. "mount c: c:\" if you want it to point to your real C: drive.
ah yes, that would be the problem, thx, it's now installed ^^
i've got a problem installing C&C 1 ,too
every time i try to type install or setup i get the followin error:
http://www021.gmx.net/de/cgi/thumbnail?CUSTOM … G&size=1127x764
Oddly enough I had a similar error, but not because C wasn't mounted (it always is) but because somehow the & character wasn't allowed in DOSBOX?
EDIT: this was only in one version of DOSBOX, I believe a CVS or some sort.
William: That link seems to be broken.
Having & in a folder or filename can cause problems because it's also used as a command delimter to allow multiple commands on one line. Eg you can do "md a&md b" (at least you can in an XP command prompt). This doesn't seem to be implemented in DosBox though...
& works fine in MS-DOS 6.22 for folders and filenames.
It cannot be used for multiple commands in MS-DOS 6.22, although it will work fine in XP/2003.
& works fine in DosBox CVS 1-30-2006 in folders and filenames.
md a&md b under DosBox result in a folder created called "a&mdb"
md a&md b under MS-DOS 6.22 result in this error message: "Too many parameters - b"
Getting rid of the "b" caused the "a&md" folder to be created.
now i finally got it 😜
i found an installer called cnc95_xpinstaller.exe.
and it's working.
but thx for the help 😁
