Hello.

I'm yet another person with a problem getting Privateer to work in DosBox. I've had little problem getting it to run on my WinXP system, although it is a little slow. I would actually like to get it to run on my Mac laptop. When I use DosBox 0.63, set ems=false in my dosbox configuration file, and invoke priv.exe, DosBox exists with the response "Exit to error: Illegal descriptor type 0 for int E"

I have no idea how to interpret this. It doesn't seem to matter what sound settings I use for Privateer or DosBox, if this helps.

Any help is appreciated.

EDIT:
I don't know if this is really necessary, but...
The system is a PowerBook G4 with a 1.33 GHz PowerPC G4 and 1 GB of memory. The OS version is 10.3.3.

stupid question: did you configure the sound correctly (the same) on both systems ?

Any progress being made on this?
- I think I'm having the same problem. Tried running Privateer, got the same error messge about ems, turned ems to false, then dosbox just closes (program quits) when I try to run it.

Any progress on this? Is this an actual Big/Little Endian problem? I've seen at least one other post on here where they have gotten the same errors and have posted a debug. I've got the exact same config working on my PC, but not my Mac.

Please give us an update.
