Okay...first post...deep breaths. 😐

I've been able to get everything running in DOSBox, including my kitchen sink! But I can't for the life of me get Hi-Octane to run properly using 0.63 or 0.65. I've even been able to get favorable results from Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries, but this one still eludes me.

I boot 'er up using this config file (tweaked to all hell and back, I know...). The game appears to start fine, and the intro plays...

I get midi and sound for the intro, then when the intro ends the game just freezes on the title screen. If I try using DOS32a instead of the old 4gw, it still does the same thing, it just crashes after a little while.

Any ideas? Has anyone else gotten this puppy to work? 😀

flashdim, did yo try setting midi to something else than 'General Midi', for example 'Gus Midi' in setsound.exe?! That works for me.

I had it on Roland apparently, so I changed it around a couple of times until it worked. I finally settled on Soundblaster Pro for the MIDI...seems to run VERY well now on dynamix core with 60000 cycles.

Thanks guys! 😁
