Problem with "Night of the Hermit"

I'm able to run "Night of the Hermit". But it is very slow. I have increased cpu cycles and frame skip.

I have also edited some things in the dosbox CONF file.

But I still have the problem. Any suggestions?

specifications:

Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519)

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.0GHz

Memory: 1024MB RAM

Page File: 405MB used, 2054MB available

DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

Soundcard: Realtek AC97 Audio

Videocard: NVIDIA GeForce 6600

Night of the Hermit is an AGS game, it should work with Win98 compatibility mode without the need for DosBox.

Give it a try...

Edit:
Ok, downloaded the game, you need to rename Hermit.exe to ac2game.dat and then run ACWIN.EXE

No compatibility mode needed for this and it works fine under WinXP.
