Hi, I'm sort of new at Dosbox and all this.. so I'm wondering how it's possible to get speech to work with King's Quest V.. I have the CD version and I remember playing it years ago on Windows 3.11 with speech. Is there anyway to get it working? I've tried installing VDMSound but I haven't had any luck.

The speech doesn't work at all.. the game runs and plays perfectly. I don't know any other way how to put it.

What have you tried, so far? Any error messages? Are you getting the "Unable to initialize your audio hardware..." error? Have you also mounted the CD? Do the paths in your RESOURCE.CFG match the paths that DOSBox sees?

I'm running 0.65, and having voice issues, actually. I have the collection, and am trying to run KQ5. Everything works fine, except for the speech.
In the INSTALL.EXE program did you configure the Sound Card to Sound Blaster?
