Game runs like a charm. So no complaints there.

I own a Dell 2405FPW (Native resolution 1920x1200) 24" widescreen LCD.

So far I've been using:

fullscreen=true
fulldouble=false
fullfixed=false
fullresolution=1600x1200
output=surface
hwscale=5.0
pixelshader=none

aspect=true
scaler=none

Any suggestions for the best dosbox experience?

A couple notes:

1. For some reason when the game starts up and shows the dosbox screen for a moment while it loads the MT32 emulation, the screen is all jumpy and blurry.

2. If I try openglhq the screen is all jumpy in the game and everything.

Hwscale doesn't do anything with surface. Since I see you have a build with my d3d patch, try using direct3d, set aspect to false, fullfixed=true, fullresolution=1920x1200. This will get you a nice 1600x1200 picture with black bars on the left and right and exactly the right aspect ratio 😀

Thanks! I never knew that. Learn something new every day. 😀

I wonder why OpenGLHq is all jumpy. Probably has something to do with those environment variable things mentioned in the readme... or does dosbox handle that itself?

I'm using the Dec 08 2005 build from ykhwong.

Tried this.

fullscreen=true
fulldouble=true
fullfixed=true
fullresolution=1920x1200
output=direct3d
hwscale=0
autolock=true
sensitivity=100
waitonerror=true
priority=highest,highest
mapperfile=mapper.txt
pixelshader=none
usescancodes=false

frameskip=0
smartupdate=false
aspect=false
scaler=none

Tried these but I don't get black bars on either side like I should. I'm guessing that means the image is being stretched. The pixels do look much sharper though because its at its native resolution.

No jumpyness on the DOS prompt while the MT32 emulation is loading though. I'm using a Gefore 6800GT with 81.95 drivers.
