I have finally got my hands on Dune the original game but i cannot get sound working at all. Iv'e even tried vdms and that doesnt work
Has anyone got settings that work?

I did use install.exe and chose sound blaster. I am using D-Fend aswell and would like to know a sound configuration someone has got working.

Your copy must be bad. Dune 1 works perfectly under DOSBox.

I'm not getting sound in Dune either, although Dune 2 and Prince of Persia 2 work fine to me. My system is:
Motherboard - Asus P4S800D
Processor type and speed - Pentium 4 3.0 w/ HT
Amount and type of RAM - 1024 DDR400 (2x512, dual channel)
Video board w/ RAM amount and type - ASUS 9600XT/TD 128 Mb agp 8x
Sound board - Soundblaster live! 24-bit
Operating system - Win XP Sp2
Game name (and version, if applicable) - Dune
I'm using DosBox 0.65
By the way, I recently grabbed an italian rip version that is working fine! If anyone knows how I could copy the "sound" files (which of them are the right ones?) to my english version I would be really thankful (so I could play it in english)
