Hi, I'm new to these forums, after a friend recently recommended I download DOSBox. I'm computer illiterate and have no idea what everything means but I'm learning. I read the guide and did what it said without any luck. I also read the notice for help requests but I couldn't answer any of the questions about my computer other than that I use Windows XP Home Edition. There have been other threads concerning this game, and I have followed the advice in them, again without any luck.

This is what I have done so far to try and get Season of Sakura to work:
1. copy and paste the SK_01.M file into both the GRA and OVL folders as well as leaving it in the original main folder just in case (the zip of the game came with a notepad document that said "SEASON OF SAKURA fix
=========================
1.Good, you've unzip the file.
2.Put this file in the game's directory [I don't know what that is]
3.Check for SK_01.M with "dir sk_01.*"
4.If exist then ----> Enjoy...

fixed by Edsa M.A (menduk1@idola.net.id)"
2. created a folder called 'temp' with the file 'CDATA.000' in it, as was recommended (I think) in another SoS thread (I'm not sure as I didn't understand the explanation)
3. in DOSBox I have then typed the following code:
- mount d d:\ -t cdrom -ioctl
- mount h h:\torrents\games\collection\season_of_sakura
- set path=h:\temp [Once again, no idea what this does but I think it was recommended in another thread]
- h:
- saku_d\saku-fm.bat

The following are the notifications I get:
- When I type saku-fm.bat in DOSBox some writing flashes and disappears before I can see it then a new page appears that says "Music Driver P.M.D. for IBMPC/OPL Version 4.6a
Copyright (C)1989,Oct.23th 1993 by M.Kajihara(KAJA).
Removed from Memory."
- If I double click on the actual file 'saku-fm.bat' windows cmd appears. It says "H:\torrents\games\collection\season_of_sakura\saku_d>echo off [What is an echo in DOS terms mean?]
The system cannot find the path specified.
Music Driver P.M.D. for IBMPC/OPL Version 4.6a
Copyright <C>1989,Oct.23th 1993 by M.Kajihara,KAJA>." cmd.exe then proceeds to take up all of my RAM until I close it, which actually doing nothing.

The following is a complete list of the files on the SoS directory if it helps make things a little clearer.
H:\torrents\games\collection\season_of_sakura:
saku_d (folder)
temp (folder that I created)
a whole lot of character's names followed by .000

H:\torrents\games\collection\season_of_sakura\temp:
CDATA.000 (I copied this into here myself)

H:\torrents\games\collection\season_of_sakura\saku_d:
GRA (folder, I copied SK_01.M into here)
OVL (folder, I also copied SK_01.M into here)
AUTORUN
CDATA.000
CDM
FILE
JAST
MAIN
PMDIBM
SAKU
SAKU-CD
SAKU-FM
SK_01.M (up to SK_33.M)
T_ADV1

I don't think the GRA and OVL folders are going to be important, but if you'd like I can write down what is in those files as well on request.

Another thing that, although not recommended, I have tried is clicking on the SAKU-CD file. The game then loads (I assume) but closes straight away and I get an error box that says "H:\torrent\games\collec~1\season~2\saku_d\saku-cd.pif
Invalid program file name, please check your pif file. Choose 'close' to terminate the application"

Please help me!

How did you get it to work? My Season Of Sakura game had this kind of problem too -- I just don't know how to fix it!!

BTW, did you download this game? If you do, can you give me the link where you download this file? I don't think mine (the Season of Sakura game) is going to last longer in my PC...

Many thanks!
