Download ISOBuster or Cdrwin and create a .bin/.cue of your Mechwarrior 2 cdrom. You must also make sure that your original Mechwarrior 2 cdrom has the audio tracks otherwise you shouldn't even bother to make the image. Once you create the image then you mount the .cue with imgmount..

If you do not have the audio portion on the Mech2 CD then you'll have to use a NOCD crack.

What do these programs you're talking about do? Can you explain these file types you speak of like .bin and such? Sorry, a bit of a newbie.

Corsair, Do you happen to have windows 98 laying around somewhere? If so, download microsoft's Virtual PC. Install windows 98 with Virtual PC. After that you must install the Virtual PC addons. Mechwarrior 2 runs just fine under this setup. I dont even have the missile impact bug. Ghost bear's legacy initially had a graphics problem, I solved that by reducing my display settings to 256 colors. May work ok in 16 bit too.
