Did i understand that correctly: your PC resets when starting the game in DOSBox?

No, my pc resets until i'm playing the game. Sorry for the bad description in the opening post.

Versuchen wir's doch auf deutsch, und mit einer präzisierten Frage: Dein PC macht einen Reset, während Du das Spiel in DOSBox spielst?

Jap genau. Merkwürdig ist auch das ich das Spiel nur spielen kann wenn es frisch installiert wurde. Wenn ich es danach starte kommt das Intro und dann der Blackscreen, als ob ich das Spiel direkt aus WinXp starten würde.

I think it is a problem with your graphics driver. Try changing the value of output=..... in the dosbox.conf.

Du hast Die Frage noch nicht wirklich beantwortet. Ein Reset wäre es, wenn Dein PC "spontan" neu startet, während Du das Spiel spielst. Falls das passiert, hat wahrscheinlich Deine Kiste ein Problem. Das kann z.B. defekte Hardware sein, kaputte Lüfter, falsche/veraltete Treiber, zu hohe Overclocking-Werte, und noch vieles mehr. Vielleicht ist auch die Platte am abrauchen. DOSBox (bzw. der Reset, während DOSBox läuft) wäre dann nicht die Ursache des Problems, sondern ein Symptom.

Und das mit dem "Blackscreen" verstehe ich nicht, drück' Dich mal ein wenig deutlicher aus. Dir ist schon klar, dass Du erst DOSBox starten und Laufwerke mounten musst, und dann das Spiel in DOSBox startest?

EDIT: MiniMax hat recht, das könnte auch das Problem sein, obwohl der Rechner keinen Reboot machen sollte, wenn diese Einstellung nicht passt.

@ Addict: Ja genau es ist ein spontaner Reset. Also dieser spontane Reset kommt nur bei der DosBox. Overclocked ist mein PC nicht, da ich diese Probs auch vermeiden will mit den Temps. 😉

Also gemountet sind die erforderlichen Laufwerke. Der Blackscreen kommt immer nach dem Intro. Das heißt das Intro wird abgespielt danach baut sich aber das Spielmenü nicht auf.

Ich musste die DosBox nun auch deinstallieren, da Sie einen auch einen spontanen Reset verursacht hat wenn ich ein anderes Spiel aus Windows heraus starten wollte.

There are only 4 or 5 different values for output. Just try each of them.

Unmöglich. Das zu erklären würde jetzt zu weit führen, aber das kann nicht an DOSBox liegen. Nur soviel: DOSBox installiert keine Treiber, und ändert nichts an Deinem System. Ich halte jede Wette, dass Du ein Temperaturproblem hast, wahrscheinlich mit der CPU (wie wd schon geschrieben hat). DOSBox ist sehr CPU-lastig, deshalb tritt der Fehler wohl auf, wenn Du eine zeitlang ein DOS-Spiel zockst. Interessehalber: welche Hardware hast Du, und welches Windows-Spiel hat den Reset verursacht?

Die Hardware: Athlon64 3200+, Geforce 8600GT, Biostar NF4-A9A, 1024 Mb DDR-Ram.

Wie gesagt alles nicht Overclocked und die Temps sind im Idle bei 27-30 und unter Last bei 35-38°

Versucht zu starten habe ich Der Pate und Counter-Strike: Source.

Die DosBox war davor nicht gestartet da schon ein Reset geschehn war. Der Reset des PC's erfolgt nur bei einer installierten DosBox.

Edit: Hätte ich eine Kamera würde ich diesen Vorgang auch filmen.

If your system resets solely when dosbox is installed, then your system
is really really broken anyways. Reinstall your windows, run some memory
checking programs (memtest), perform some in-depth system checks etc.

Hmmm, das ist komisch. So ein Problem hatten wir bisher nicht.

Wenn's Dich wirklich interessiert, sollten wir mal methodisch vorgehen, um den Fehler einzugrenzen. Ich würde mal folgendes probieren:

- DOSBox installieren, aber nicht starten
- Windows-Games ausprobieren, die den Rechner richtig stressen (ein paar Runden CS:S sollten's tun)
- Reset? -> wenn nicht, dann DOSBox starten, wieder beenden, und wieder die Windows-Games ausprobieren
- Reset?

Ich kann mir wirklich nicht vorstellen, dass das installierte DOSBox Schwierigkeiten verursacht - wie gesagt, die Installation ändert nichts am System. Wenn's Probleme gibt, nachdem DOSBox gestartet war, dann hätte ich noch ein paar Ideen...

@ wd: The Restart happens always when I want to start a game, when DosBox is installed. When DosBox is not installed each of the games are starting and i can play.

Edit: Das ist ja gerade das Problem. Bei CSS sollte normalerweise der Screen mit Counter-Strike: Source wird geladen kommen, nur will ich das Spiel starten macht der PC, bei installierter DosBox, sofort einen Neustart. Ist diese nicht installiert passiert das nicht.

The DOSBox installer only creates a directory, copies some files, and
creates some shortcuts.

OK, let's try to continue in english: please carry out the test procedure i described in my previous post. Before doing the tests, just to be on the safe side: redownload the DOSBox installer (from the DOSBox website, not from anywhere else), and use that one for testing. Check that you have enough hd space on your system drive. Do a "chkdsk c: /f" from the command line before installing DOSBox (you probably have to reboot your system to complete the chkdsk). Disable virus scanners, personal firewalls, etc.

Edit: as wd wrote, the DOSBox installer copies some files and creates shortcuts. It's hard to believe that these actions are the source of your system's instablility.

Niggi - try this:

1) Install DOSBox as usual.
2) Create a Zip file with the 13-14 files that the installer creates.
3) Uninstall DOSBox
4) Run one of the games that causes a crash. Since DOSBox has been uninstalled, it should not crash, right?
5) Unzip the files from the Zip file.
6) Run the game again. Does it crash now?

After MiniMax instruction I can play the games. But I changed one thing. DosBox was installed on Harddrive D: and now I unpacked the files on Harddrive C:.

Edit: I have now uninstalled the Game F1 Manager Pro and installed it after that again. Now the game works since over 30 Min. I have change the value of output=.. to output=opengl.

But I have another question.I can't save the current season in the F1 Manager. Should I create a folder for savegames?
