I was playing Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2 in full screen mode several hours ago, and unwittingly chose to allow the AI to run the entire scenario on its own. Seeing this, I Alt + Tabbed to bring DOSBox into window form, and clicked the close button. I've done this on several occasions, and every time, DOSBox will revert back to full screen for a brief moment, and then promptly close.

Unfortunately, this time, DOSBox didn't close, and, save for the status window, became entirely unresponsive. My desktop picture was replaced by a grayish-purple color and the area on my desktop where the game window was is now covered by a white box. I can minimize and expand the status window, but that's about it.

I've tried everything I can think of to close the program; from right clicking in the task bar, attempting to close it in the task manager's applications section, and attempting to kill it from TM's the processes section. The only thing I've yet to try is logging off my computer, which I'm somewhat hesitant to do at the moment.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, or am I SOL?

Of if you'd rather just close DOSBox without having to go to windowed mode first, just hit Ctrl+F9 to kill it immediately.
