I am able to play Constructor (the first game) using dosbox ipx emulator... And I also have to use it for the game, so, it works!

Now, I have Constructor 2: Street Wars on my pc, and it is a Win9x game, so it can't be run by dosbox...

I tried to emulate ipx via dosbox and open the game via windows, but it still doesn't work... And the problem is, there seems to be no IPX support for vista!

Is there any way of emulating IPX using dosbox and running a game through windows, but have the game detect the ipx emulation in dosbox?

Thanks in advance!

nope, don't think that works. If you google ipx and vista you can find a solution, at least for Vista 32-bit.

IPX may work in a VM like VPC/Vmware and over the internet using Hamachi. Never tried it though.

Yea, it will probably work on a VM... Still, I was not willing to install older systems on this machine... But it seems there are no other solutions =/ been looking all over for it... Novell's client doesn't support IPX on vista... =/

Well, if you speak German or are adventurous to have it translated look at this http://www.msvistafaq.de/?p=187
I DID google before telling you to do it.

Edit: though it only seems to work for some people...
