My g7 mouse doesn't work in this game.
It remains still on the screen and I have to alt-tab to close the game.

When I hold both mouse buttons down,it fires but the mouse movement arrow used by frontier doesn't move when you move the mouse.

Is it only in this game you are having problems with your mouse?

Did you install the Logitech SetPoint Software (I *think* the G7 is a Logitech)? Try disabling/enabling the Game recognition of the software. Maybe that helps.

Maybe it's a limitation of your mouse. Almost no game or application needs two buttons pressed simultaneously AND movement information on top of that. It's quite possible that your mouse simply doesn't support that, not sending movement data while both buttons are pressed.

It may also be a "help" from your mouse driver. Simultaneous klicks are used in a few apps, and the driver might try to "help" by eliminiating movement data if it detects such a two-button-klick. Maybe you can find something in your driver settings.
