Hey all,
I've been having this problem with DOSBox and Warcraft 2.
To start off, I'm using v0.72 of DOSBox. I have Windows Vista Business (Original, not Service Pack 1).

Anyways, so far, I can get as far as the menu. Whenever I start a new campaign or custom scenario, the program generates this error.

Luckily, I got a picture of one of the boxes. I find it also strange that it will load a game, but all the options are in weird places.

Is there any solutions to this bug?
(See the attachments for the picture)

P.s. I'll try to recreate the bug at a later time, in order to get a picture of the in-game crash.

"DYNX86" - sounds like a problem with core=auto or core=dynamic. Try changing the core-setting to core=normal.

Do you use some sort of crack?

I'll take your suggestion MiniMax.
Yeah, I do H-a-l-9000. It's not reading my CD, regardless of mounting the CD drive or not. I really don't understand why it won't read.

I had that exact same problem with Zone Raiders. Changing core to normal really helped. Thanks.

WCII runs perfectly well with dynamic core on my system (XP SP2). You don't need a crack for the game. Just copy all files from the CD to a folder, and mount it. An alternative would be to create and mount a BIN/CUE image (doing that would preserve the CDDA soundtrack).

??? The whole purpose of a crack for WCII would be to prevent the game from checking the CD, so it's quite obvious why the patched game doesn't access the CD. Sounds to me as if you're using an "Abandonware" version of the game. If that is the case, buy the original, and you won't have any troubles running the game.
