Hi folks, I am new to this forum, and heres where Im at..
I decided to start up a BBS again (its been about 15 years). I am running OS X on a macbook, and am running Renegade on DOSBOX. I can telnet to my BBS but what i am looking for (and havent found yet) is a way to make it so my friends on myspace can link to my bbs without having to download a telnet software. Is there a telnet client software (is that what its called?) that will run on a website (Java maybe?) so there will be a window that opens when they click a link and they can access my board via telnet? Or is there another way to do this all together? My main goal is to run a BBS for musicians in the area and i want to make it accessable to people who are not computer or telnet savy. I want to make it simple, that way people will actually log on.
Even if it means setting up this (java?) client interface on another website and just putting a link on my myspace page (or in bulletins). In fact that would maybe be prefered as i could give the link out to people who dont myspace in the first place. Again, i dont want to have to make my users download or learn to use telnet. Just a click on a link for them and they are on my login screen to my bbs.
Thanks a billion to whomever can help,
A Sysop from the Old School.
