I am currently running DOSBox .72 under Ubuntu 8.04 (linux). I have the Rayman CD and an .iso of it. It makes no difference if I have the game running off an imgmounted iso or from the disk itself, I cannot get the music. The game runs fine, but I only get the sounds--no music. Looking back at previous threads, they said I have to make a bin/cue pair and mount that. However, I do not get why that would make a difference if it cannot do it right off the CD itself. Is there some setting in the conf I need to change? Or do I need to set it up a special way? Also, if I really do just need that bin/cue pair, does anyone know a Linux program that does that?

Thanks in advance.

As you said, it should work the same, but when accessing the real CD, the host OS can play tricks with DOSBox. With an image, DOSBox is solely in control of what happens. And yes, some kind of music tracks are not preserved on an ISO-image, only on those BIN/CUE images.

It worked. I now can here the sweet music. However, the sound effects sound really muted. I can barely hear them, even with the sound turned on all the way up (on the machine and in the game). I would rather have music than effects, but do you know what would cause that?
