Okay, I have Windows 3.1 installed on DOSBox .72 under Linux. I went through the driver tutorial and setup up the s3 drivers and set them to 1024x768 with 64k of colors. I also have tried several different combinations of resolution/colors. However, when I try to run Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego CD (which is built for 3.1/95), it installed perfectly, but when I try to run it it says "To run, this application requires SVGA at 640x480 resolution and 256 colors" (or words to that affect). It acts like it cannot tell that I changed the resolution. Is there a DOSBox setting I need to change, or is there a different driver that would work better?

Thanks in advance.

Many old games need the desktop resolution and colors to be set on the desktop before starting the game.

Most Windows 3.1 games did not use more than 256 colors.

Nevermind, I just had to set it to exactly 640x480 256. Strange, I could have sworn I tried that already. Oh well, it works perfectly.
