Ok I've read all the Rayman threads and researched on the web butRayman simply refuses to properly play music (sound effects are perfect)...

I have two operating systems on my computer- Vista 64 bit and Ubuntu 8.04. I have DosBox installed in both environments. Perhaps someone here can give me some advice on how to get music going in Rayman.

First I've tried to set up my CDROM drive as a CDROM drive in dosbox with the Rayman CD in it. In Vista when I start Rayman dosbox hangs for about 5 minutes then crashes (once causing blue screen of death). If I don't set up the CDRom drive the game runs fine in Vista (without music of course). In Ubuntu nothing happens - the CD doesn't even seem to spin up at all even though I get a success message upon setting it up.

Second I've tried to create .cue/.bin files from my Rayman CD. Dosbox in Vista crashes when I try to imgmount the file. Ubuntu seems to mount it but when the game starts the music is all static (with occasional hints of the music coming through). I know it's not the file because I've re-burned the image back onto a cdr and the music tracks sound perfect.

Is there a setting somewhere I could be overlooking?
