Read my 60 Seconds Guide to DOSBox (and don't just read it - follow it too).

If that doesn't help, come back with details on how you mounted your C and D drives, how you did the install, how you configured sound, music etc.

I did everything your guide said, but still ended up with no sound. I forgot to add this in my first post, but this is a game I downloaded from a random place (though I did make an image of it and placed it on a cd) and if I wanted to use it I just entered the batch file after mounting c: and never installed it, which it did not install when I used your method (I don't even know if what I used was the installer). and what looks to be the apparent sound card execute file, when I try to use it, says

"This sound card I/O is ...0220
This Sound card version is ...0005
Can not found low dma & irq"

Can you infer anything from that? Or would you need the game?

Sorry, but when it is something downloaded from a random site, there could be 100 reasons why sound is not working. I suggest you try to find a place to buy the game. Then I am sure it will come with a proper installer.

I realized that but I don't think that there is a proper place to buy the game short of going to Japan or China, and even then its iffy. I downloaded the other prequels to the game from the same place, and this is the only one I'm having any issues with that I can't fix myself. One of the .exe files does come up with

"Successfully installed!
Hot key is ctrl +alt."

but it doesn't seem to do anything.
