Hello

I have Ascendancy and the Antagonizer [AI patch] as well as several other old games installed on an external HD. It used to run perfectly with DOSBOX .72 on both Vista and my perferred operating system, Ubuntu 8.4 (dual booted on the same system). 2 weeks ago, I had computer problems. Ended up formatting the local HD and installing only Ubuntu. Ascendancy still worked fine. This weekend I reformatted again, and set it up so it dual booted Ubuntu 8.10 and Vista.

During all this, the external HD was nowhere near the computer.

Now, Ascendancy isn't working. When I try to, it starts up, goes to the Logic Factory splash screen, then the screen flickers, goes back to the command prompt and says "Assert Failed: <..\flic.cpp> Line 239". It does this both with ascend.exe and antag.exe, on both operating systems.

I've looked everywhere I can think to, and searched my computer for flic.cpp. Can't be found. Has anybody come across this problem?

edit: Forgot to mention, all other games work fine.
